What is it?
Inspired In a Box is an e-design service, which allows you to purchase a professionally designed room right from the comfort of your own home, and from anywhere in the country. This gives a client the ability to get a designer room without the typical designer price, or simply allow the client to implement the design at their own speed.
Who needs it?
Anyone near or far who wants the guidance of an experienced interior designer in taking your room/s to the next level.
Small budget?
No problem. We will take care to select the best possible items based on your budget, no matter how big or small.
How does it work?
You have a room in need design attention? We have the solution! Simply fill out a design questionnaire that helps us pinpoint your design style. You will also be asked to include the room dimensions along with measurements of any architectural features such as windows, fireplaces, etc. and send it in to us. Within two to three weeks, you will receive a box containing a schematic floor plan detailing furniture placement along with paint and/or wallpaper swatches, specific fabric swatches, flooring, tile, pictures of the furniture and accessories, and a list of resources where you can purchase all of these items. For an additional fee, we can shop designer only sources and purchase those items on your behalf.
What if I have questions?
We are here to help you and guide you through the process. Our communication is done primarily through email, and we will answer any questions you may have about the design.
How much does it cost?
- Foyer, Small Bathroom, Powder Room, Hallway - $400
- Living Room, Bedrooms, Dining Room - $600
- Large areas like open loft, kitchen, great room - $800
How to Measure?
The easiest way to measure your space is in inches. Measure the perimeter of your room, one wall at a time. If there is a window, fireplace, or other architectural detail on a wall, measure the wall to that detail, and then measure the detail: the window, door, fireplace, etc, separately. Don't worry about moldings, just measure the opening of the window. Start measuring the wall again where the architectural detail stops, so on so so forth until you reach the opposite end of the wall. Also, ceiling and window heights would be great to have as well.
We're not expecting a Frank Lloyd Wright- your drawing does not have to be to scale, just a simple box with measurements and markings of the details is fine, and we'll take care of the rest!
